Cleaning your KONAleashes Gear

How To Clean Your New KONAleashes Gear

By now you have your KONAgear, and you may be wondering the best way to clean your gear after a long day at the lake, dog park, or through the mountains. First of all, remember that our leashes are handmade in the USA and were built to last - last longer and through much more than some dirt! Rest assured, this process will get your gear looking brand new!

Follow our step by step process to clean any and all of your KONAleashes gear:

1. Leashes

Quick Clean (mild - medium dirt):

Remove the carabiner. Proceed to hand wash the rope leash with warm soapy water in a sink, bucket, or tub. Refill the sink or tub with warm, clean water and rinse throughly, before hanging your leash to dry, ensure that all the soap has been rinsed out. Allow the rope leash to hang 18-24 hours to air dry.

Deep Clean (medium - heavy dirt):

Remove the carabiner. Place the rope leash into your washer machine with your weekly "heavy" load (towels, bedding, etc). Wash the load as normal. *Do not use bleach on your leashes*.

DO NOT put the leash in the dryer, hang the leash and allow 18-24 hours to air dry.

2. Rope Collars

Quick Clean (mild - medium dirt):
